釣行のきっかけ
半年ぶりに友人とブラックバス釣りに行ってきました。
久々の釣行にワクワクしながら準備を進めましたが、まさかのトラブルで思いがけない展開に…。
釣行前の準備とバッテリー問題
釣行2日前からバッテリーを充電開始。およそ48時間ほど充電しましたが、充電器は赤ランプのまま満充電にならず。
使用したのは、約10年前？に購入したディープサイクル ACDelco M27MF。
バッテリー本体のインジケーターは 緑ランプ（使用可能） を示していましたが、テスターで計測すると 13.08V。
釣行前に確認したバッテリーの状態（緑ランプ点灯）：
「まだ使えるだろう」と判断して釣行に挑みましたが…
出艇！しかしエレキが…
アルミボートを浮かべ、エレキをON！しかし…動きはまるで牛歩の速度。推進力がほとんどなく、思うようにポイント移動できませんでした。
最終的には…アルミボート（パント）なのにオールで手漕ぎ釣行！
電動ではなく人力移動という、久々に味わう苦行となりました（笑）。
使用した道具
- ボート：アルミボート パント
- エレキモーター：モーターガイド ブルドック 40lb？
- バッテリー：ディープサイクル ACDelco M27MF（10年前購入）
- 充電器：キサカ（赤ランプのまま充電完了せず）
釣果と友人との時間
僕のボートは思うように動かせませんでしたが、手漕ぎで何とか 39cmのブラックバス を釣ることができました。(久しぶりに釣れたので39cmなのにドヤ顔)
僕より上手い友人は 40cmのブラックバス を釣り上げ、さすがの腕前を見せてくれました。
久々にブラックバスの引きを楽しみつつ、仲間との時間も満喫。手漕ぎの疲労で腕が筋肉痛になったのは言うまでもありません（笑）。
学び・まとめ
- バッテリーは使わなくても毎月充電することが大事
- 電圧計で13V以上あっても、容量が抜けていると推進力が出ない場合がある
- 釣行前には「ランプ表示」や「電圧チェック」を確認し、エレキも回してみたが、回転速度までは確認していなかった
- 最悪の場合は「手漕ぎ」も覚悟しておこう（笑）
- 今回の教訓を活かして、釣行後に新しいバッテリーを購入して再発防止しました

I went bass fishing with a friend for the first time in six months. Two days before the trip, I started charging my 10-year-old ACDelco M27MF deep cycle battery for about 48 hours, but the charger stayed red. The battery itself showed a green light, and the voltage read 13.08V. Thinking it would be okay, I hit the water.
Once on the lake, the electric trolling motor barely moved the aluminum boat, and in the end, I had to row manually with oars! Despite this, I managed to catch a 39cm bass, while my more experienced friend caught a 40cm bass. It was tough but really fun!
What I learned:
- Even if you don’t use it, charge your battery every month.
- Voltage readings alone don’t guarantee enough power for the motor.
- Before fishing, check lights, voltage, and ideally test the motor – though I didn’t check the actual speed.
- Be ready to row manually if things go wrong!
- After this trip, I bought a new battery to prevent future troubles (Amazon link).
