はじめに：サイドFIREを目指す理由
皆さんこんにちはサイファです。
きっとあなたは「サイドFIRE」で検索して、このページにたどり着いたのではないでしょうか？会社員を続けながら、副業や投資で自由な時間を手に入れたい――そんな気持ちで検索しているはずです。
僕（サイファ）も子持ちの1馬力で同じ気持ちで副業に挑戦し、給与＋副収入でサイドFIREを達成しました。
この記事では、子持ちの1馬力でもできるせどりを中心とした副業戦略やサイドFIRE達成に必要な考え方を具体的に紹介します。
僕のスペック：完全FIREから最も遠い条件
- 高卒
- 子供2人
- 専業主婦の妻あり
- 車2台・バイク1台
- 新築住宅に住んでいる
- 田舎在住
この条件でもFIREやサイドFIREから最も遠いようなスペックで5000万でサイドFIREという形になりました！
“節約関連の固定費見直し保険料見直しはもうやったよ！”はちょっと重い腰を上げれば再現性100% で結局残るのが転職か副業(起業)みたいになってくるんですよね
会社員だった僕も痛いほどわかるのですがこの0→1で稼ぐのが本当に難しいんです。
という事で僕はせどりで稼いだ結果、今があるので、これについて僕なりの考えや体験談を語っていきます。
せどりの優位性：副業スタートに最適な理由
- 学歴不要・参入障壁が低い
- 宝探し感覚で楽しい
- 撤退が容易でリスク管理しやすい
- 中古は分散投資的で安定性がある
僕は中古本せどり＋給与を株に回す戦略でサイドFIREを達成しました。
新品・中古せどりの実体験
FIREという概念を知って、稼ぎたいと思ったころにはSNSで情報収集した結果せどりに出会い僕は最初新品せどりから入りました。学生の頃に不用品をヤフオクで売った事がありネットで売るのに抵抗はありませんでした。
近所のコメリ、ドン・キホーテ、トライアルなどで、ワゴン品やセール品を探して仕入れるところからスタート。
その後は、釣り具の新品を縦積み販売したこともあります。
一時期は、シマノのエギがプレ値（プレミア価格）になっていたので、それも狙いました。
さらに、任天堂スイッチの新品転売も経験しています。
しかし、新品せどりは再現性が低く、すぐにライバルや大手が参入して価格競争になりやすいのが現実です。
そこで僕は、タローさんのYouTubeを見て中古本せどりにピンときたのが転換点でした。
中古本は一品ごとに状態や価値が異なり、安定した収益を狙いやすいのが大きな魅力です。

このように、まず新品で流れを学びつつ、安定的な副収入を目指すなら中古せどりにシフトするのもおすすめです。
せどり以外の副業も活用しよう

モチベーション維持の秘訣
僕の考えでは副業やブログは、無料で走り続けるのは難しいです。
今からせどりや副業全般に挑戦する方はやってみればわかるのですが、無料だったら稼げるようになる前に辞めてしまうんです。なぜなら辞めても”損した”という気持ちにはならないからです。
僕はこの点は両学長(小金持ち山=資産5000万円超)の達成の道筋の考えとはちょっと異なります。投資対効果が得られるものは先行投資はアリという考え方です。会社員をやっている方は時間がないであれば、時間をお金で買うのは全然あり！もちろんそれ相当の下調べと最後は直観です。生活が破綻するので借り入れをしてでもやった方がいいとは思いませんのでまずはある程度の貯金は必要です。

ポイントは「小さくても行動すること」。

会社員で学んだPDCA、仮説検証。この能力を自分の0→1が生み出せたそのせどりに力を注ぐことができれば“誰かにやれらされる””やっても変わらない”という雇われマインドセットとは全然違うワクワク感がでてきます☆彡
好きな仕事×資産収入を目指そう
- 好きな仕事：自分が続けやすい副業（せどり、ブログ、ライターなど）
- 資産収入：株・不動産(僕はこれは事業収入と資産収入の中間と思ってます)など、放置でもお金を生む仕組み
副業で小さな成功体験を積み重ね、資産収入と組み合わせることで現実的な自由が手に入ります。

まずは小さく、でも確実に一歩を踏み出してみてください。

Introduction: Why Aim for Side FIRE
Hello everyone, I’m Saifa.
You probably searched for “Side FIRE” and found this page.
You might want to keep your job while gaining more freedom through side businesses and investments.
I (Saifa) felt the same way and achieved Side FIRE through salary + side income.
In this article, I will explain the strategies I used—mainly reselling—and the mindset needed to reach Side FIRE.
My Background: Conditions Farthest From Full FIRE
- High school graduate
- Two children
- Stay-at-home spouse
- Two cars & one motorcycle
- Living in a newly built home
- Living in the countryside
Despite being in a situation seemingly farthest from FIRE or Side FIRE, I reached Side FIRE with 50 million yen in assets!
Many people say, “I’ve already done all the cost-cutting and insurance reviews!”—but after that, what remains is either changing jobs or starting a side business.
I was a full-time employee and I understand 0 → 1 is the hardest part of earning money.
I succeeded through reselling, and now I’ll share my thoughts and experiences.
The Strength of Reselling: Best for Starting a Side Business
- No academic background needed / low entry barrier
- Feels like treasure hunting
- Easy to quit (low downside risk)
- Used items offer stability through diversification
I achieved Side FIRE by combining used book reselling + investing my salary into stocks.
My Experience With New & Used Reselling
When I first learned about FIRE and wanted to earn more, I researched on social media and discovered reselling.
I started with new item reselling. I had sold things on Yahoo Auctions as a student, so selling online wasn’t new to me.
I began sourcing by checking bargain bins and sale items at Komeri, Don Quijote, Trial, etc.
I even bulk-sold brand-new fishing gear.
At one point, Shimano Egi became premium-price items, so I targeted those too.
I also resold new Nintendo Switch units.
However, new reselling quickly becomes unprofitable due to competitors and big players entering and causing price wars.
My turning point was discovering used book reselling through Taro-san’s YouTube channel.
Used books vary in condition and value, making profits more stable.

So, start by learning the flow with new items, then shift to used items for stable income.
Use Other Side Businesses Too
If you searched for Side FIRE, you probably already know that Ryogakucho from “Libertas University” recommends starting with reselling.

Secrets to Staying Motivated
In my opinion, continuing a side business or blog “for free” is extremely difficult.
If you try reselling or other side businesses, you’ll discover this quickly:
When it’s free, people quit before they start earning—because there’s no feeling of loss.
Here my perspective differs slightly from Ryogakucho.
I believe investing in things that offer ROI is worth it.
If you’re working full-time and don’t have much time, buying time with money is perfectly fine.
Of course, research thoroughly—and trust your intuition at the end.
But don’t borrow money for it and ruin your finances. Make sure you have some savings first.
Based on all this, I summed up the knowledge I’ve gained over the past four years into an ¥800 guide 👇

Key point: Take small actions.
- Learn your local area. Each store is different.
- Sell on Mercari, PayPay Flea Market, Rakuma to feel results.
You may think, “Isn’t a part-time job easier?”—and at first, yes it is.
But if you apply PDCA and hypothesis testing—skills learned as an employee—
your reselling (your own 0→1) creates excitement far different from being “told to work.”
Aim for Work You Enjoy × Asset Income
- Work you enjoy: reselling, blogging, writing, etc.
- Asset income: stocks, real estate (for me, this is between business income and asset income)
By stacking small wins through side businesses and combining them with asset income, you build real freedom.
“Your life expands through action!”
Start small—but start.
